Association DOBR organized the first LuĹľa contest on 'the beach' at Krvavec Ski Resort

LuĹľa (eng; puddle) contest as the name suggests is about skiing across the pool of icy-cold water on skies or snowboard. Contestants had to show some acrobatic skills as well as aesthetic touch in order to win the hearts of the audience and points from the judges. The most impressing and daring contestants got pretty cool rewards like snowboards, skies, goggles, ski poles, clothes and other sports equipment.

As if the event on its own wasn't enough appealing and interesting, there was also BBQ on snow (Balkan nostalgia :) and tombola where all the tickets won prizes. All this was topped up by a DJ and moderator who entertained the audience and encouraged the riders.

There were 41 contestants aged from 9 – 77 years on the starting list. We saw many falls in the icy water, funny faces of the swimming heroes but also many solid acrobatic skills that impressed the crowd. At the end all of the contestants were happy and most of all proud to be part of the first Luža contest.
Association DOBR thanked the riders, public, sponsors and friends, and promised that next Luza Contest will be even bigger and better. Let’s see…
